David L. Murphy Esq.

David L. Murphy Esq.

Rochester, New York

Background and Experience

David L. Murphy, Esq. has been a lawyer for 40 years and has helped thousands of clients with their legal problems. Many lawyers claim to be litigators, but the reality is that very few of them actually try cases in court when negotiations fail.

Early in his career, David spent several years in the Monroe County District Attorney's Office, and appeared in court virtually every single day, acquiring experience that has benefited him his entire career.

Not every case is accepted.

It is important to take only those cases that have merit and substance. Frivolous lawsuits clog up the courts and harm everyone in the system.

Despite a public perception that medical malpractice cases are rampant, these matters are rarely sued without a very careful review of both liability and damages. Doctors fight these claims of medical malpractice very aggressively. These cases can cost tens of thousands of dollars to fully prosecute, so it is imperative that only the most meritorious cases are accepted. Although David turns away most malpractice cases, the ones he has accepted have yielded a favorable result to his clients.

David never charges an initial consultation fee. If and when he decides to accept your case, he will discuss with you the fees and expenses that may be incurred so that you can make an informed decision whether or not to proceed. As the case progresses, you'll receive periodic updates and copies of all relevant documents for your review. David considers your case to be a partnership between you and him, and no significant decisions will be made without your knowledge and approval. Because the legal fees in all personal injury and medical malpractice cases are contingent upon the outcome, you will owe nothing for his time and effort unless he recovers compensation for you.
